Michael Lawhorn driver of the “Bad Company” Mega Truck
Lives in: Tifton, Ga
Powered by a nasty 6.0 LQ4
Behind all that power is his TH400 Transmission
Under Michael’s 2001 Chevy 2500 are some beefy AxleTech4000 with front and rear steer the equipped with air lockers. When it came to choosing a transfer case, there were no budget cuts. An 18’’ SCS with dual caliper wilwood brakes were installed. 16 inch FOA Coilovers and the huge 18.4×26 BFG Checkmarks finished up this nasty build!
Bad Company was Built At Rippin’ N Rarrin
Michael said without his wife and owner Thomas, of Rippin’ N Rarrin’, Bad Company probably wouldn’t be tearing up Michael’s favorite hole -South Berlin Mud Ranch. Michael said he wants to thank PlanB parts, Mega Mud Truck Parts, and anybody else that has lended a hand during the building of the truck.
I’ve been going to Perry, FL since Kelly Grade and during college I decided it was time to build my own (HIGH Cotton). I rode it for several years and decided I wanted to go back to the stock interior, turn key and ride all day truck. Bad Company was built in Aug ‘15 (in 4 weekends might I add).
What are you gonna do next? No plans of going anywhere. Even if I don’t have a truck, mud is in my blood and I will be there to watch no matter what!
Where do you see the Mud Game going? How much more evolved can it get?! There are some of the biggest, baddest, toughest, strongest trucks out today. I don’t see how it can be topped!
Tell me a little background story about how you got into this and why.
I’ve been boggin since before I bought my first truck in high school. What else do you do besides run your truck? I’m a Service Technician for Ag Technologies/ Service and sell Trimble GPS Guidance (we make tractors drive straight from outer space!)
Who you look up to in the sport? There are several guys out there today that come to my mind that give it all they got but when it comes to this, Russell Twitty is the man! He gets out there and shows out a lot (Totin’ Two) but at the end of the day that K5 is still a bog truck and he drives it just the same! Most down to earth guy out at the bog hole today!
